Day 2
BETTY SWOLLOCKS its HOT over here. I've been in more shopping Malls today than I have done in the last 2 years. Not because I've been looking at buying anything, but because I've been desperate to get into somewhere with air-conditioning. Luckily every single building in Singapore is a shop.
Todays wander took me all down Orchard Road, a duty free haven about a mile long, full of, well, shops. Then I went to the Singapore Historical Museum which had a pretty cool 3D show about Singapore's history. (It was good in that the majority was 2D old newsreel footage, then every now and then a Jap plane or Indonesian Bomb would explode in 3D and no one saw it coming)
Had a walk down to the Harbour which was good because there's a Chinese Arts Exhibition based there, going on throughout the city to coincide with the Chinese new year. You also get a good view of the Singapore skyline. All of those skyscrapers are actually shops.
This authentic Chinese dance and music stuff happened while I was hiding in one of the other shopping malls.
