New Zealand No wonder people assume New Zealand is part of Australia...

The Nevis - The Highest Bungy Jump in Australasia, 4/6/3

I figured if I can do this, then I can do pretty much anything in the world. I can look at 'fear' as something other people do.

You drive out for 40mins to the top of a mountain (the 4x4 drive up is almost as scary as the jump itself!). They've suspended a cable car between two mountains and you jump into the valley beneath.

Cool

A small, grill floored cable car shuttle takes you out to it.

Just to add to the fun, half of the cable car floor is made of glass so you can see other people falling (and falling and falling) all the way down.

I think I've come to the conclusion I'm an adrenalin junkie. I was totally CHARGED!

BRING IT ON!!!!

I'm gonna fly like an eagle...

You reach a speed of around 130km/h.

WWOOOOOOO

The fall itself takes between six and eight seconds. Then you fly back up (feeling like superman) for about 6 seconds then back down, and up....

HHHHOOOOOO

You spend so long falling that as you drop, you go ARRRRRGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!! Take a breath. Look around. Realise 'Ooops' I'm still falling. AARRRRRGGGGHHH!!!!

On the second or third bounce back up you have to pull a cable which releases your feet and leaves you with just a stomach harness for the rest of the bouncing. (if you didn't, all the blood rushing to your head would make you pass out!)

How can I ever go back to getting on the Central Line everyday?
