Marksman Indoor Firing Range 3/3/3
Having had such an active morning snowboarding, Darren and I decided to keep up the momentum and do something else (yes 2 things in one day). Our attention was drawn to the 'Marksman Indoor Firing Range' we went past on the way to the snowboarding.
I'll admit I was slightly worried though when we were waiting for the guns/range to be prepared and Darren picked out 'Womans Day' from the selection of mostly gun magazines on the table.
It was $55 dollars each to fire a bunch of rounds from a selection of 5 pistols (we used a .22 target pistol, 9mm, .45 Auto, .357 Magnum and finally a .44 Magnum:)
Ruger .22 Target Pistol
5/10 in the Bullseye
4/10 in the Surrounding Circle
1/10 in the 9 points zone
Heres me with the 9mm
Ruger 9mm Semi-Automatic Pistol
2/14 in the Bullseye
6/14 in the Surrounding Circle
6/14 in the 9 points zone
I didn't get Darren's scores, it wouldn't be fair as I kicked his arse at it. (what?? Hes a better snowboarder? thats life...)
Anyway, heres Darren posing with a Glock 21.
Glock 21 .45 Semi-Automatic Pistol
3/10 in the Bullseye
3/10 in the Surrounding Circle
4/10 in the 9 points zone
And heres the pair of us posing with a couple of .357 Magnums
Ruger .357 Magnum (my favourite)
6/12 in the Bullseye
5/12 in the Surrounding Circle
1/1 in the 8 points zone
Ruger .44 Magnum
2/6 in the Bullseye
2/6 in the Surrounding Circle
1/6 in the 9 points zone
and um, 1 in the ceiling...
I was somewhat surprised at how light the trigger was on such a big gun once i'd pulled the hammer back... Luckily the gun was pointing down range (if slightly upwards)
ITS A GODDAMN HAND CANNON!!
Darren in a classic 'Dirty Harry' pose, managed to cover over most of the hole in the center of the bullseye which he wanted to show off. (though I think it was fluke as out of six shots he only hit the target again, including the surrounding cardboard once!!)
We came out, the sun was shining, I had a steak sandwich. Its been one of those really good days...
